Teter, Jenise Kay (31 December 1981)
Jenise Kay Teter and James W. Krasselt, Jr., were united in marriage on Thursday
late afternoon, December 31, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Greenwood. The
Rev. Sam Kochel officiated. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herschel
Teter, Rt. 1 Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. James Krasselt, Sr., Rt. 2 Spencer.
Special music for the service was provided by soloists Renae O’Konski and Mark
Frost, accompanied by Norma Nelson.
Cheri Patoka, a sister of the bride from Menasha, was matron of honor. She was
joined by Peggy Lindner, a sister of the bride from Marshfield; Michel Teter, a
sister of the bride from Spencer; Jeanne Krasselt, the groom’s sister of
Spencer; and Sharon Pachal, a friend of the bride from Marshfield.
Best man was Mark Meinders, a friend of the room from Spencer. Joining him was
Jon and Jay Krasselt, brothers of the groom from Spencer; Ken Swanson, a friend
of the groom from Elgin, Illinois; and Jerry Sternitzky, a friend of the groom
from Green Bay. Ushering were Greg Lindner, the bride’s brother-in-law of
Marshfield, and Mike Bymers, a friend of the groom from Spencer.
The bride chose an ivory satin gown with lace and pearl accents. She carried a
cascade arrangement of roses, carnations and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore
teal green gowns with pleated over-blouses.
Following the service, a dinner was held in the church parlors, followed by a
reception and dance at The Sword, Colby. The couple then left on a Florida
wedding trip.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Krasselt are making their new home at Rt. 1 Greenwood. The
bride is a 1979 graduate of Loyal High School and a 1981 graduate of North
Central Technical Institute’s operating room assistant program. The groom is a
1974 graduate of Spencer High School and took a 1978 B.S. degree in dairy
science from Iowa State University at Ames. He is a district manage of American
Breeders Service.
