Bartsch. Kay J. (9 January- 1982)
Kay J. Bartsch and Loren L. Meddaugh were united in marriage on Saturday
evening, January 9, by the Rev. Maynard Stokka in services held at Zion
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Granton. Parents of the couple are Merle and June
Bartsch and Gordon and Lorraine Meddaugh, both couples of Granton.
Serving as maid of honor was Connie Bartsch, a sister of the bride from Oshkosh.
Larry Meddaugh, the groom’s brother of Granton, was bestman. Ushering were Jay
Bartsch and Jay Meddaugh, both of Granton and brothers to the couple.
Special music at the service was provided by Mark Lavey and Mike Bletsoe.
The bride chose a Victorian style gown with bowler hat and accented by lace and
pearls. She carried a lace fan, pink roses and baby’s breath. Her attendant wore
a burgundy gown with high neck, long sleeves, fabric belt and bowler hat; she
carried a lace fan, pink roses and blue starflowers. The groom and his attendant
wore gray tuxedos.
Following the service, a dinner was held at the church, which was followed by a
dance at the Sportsmen’s Club in Granton.
The new Mrs. Meddaugh earned a B.S. degree from UW-Oshkosh this past December.
Her husband earned a B.S. degree from Purdue University in May of 1981 and is a
flight instructor and charter pilot based out of Waukesha County Airport. The
couple will make their home in Waukesha.
