Davel, Tami Rose (26 December 1981)
Tami Rose Davel and Randy Lee Cook were united in marriage in December 26
ceremonies at the Loyal United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Sandford
officiating, Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Davel and Mr. and Mrs.
Russell Cook, all of Loyal.
Special music at the service included “You Needed Me” and “Evergreen,” sung by
Shirley Davel. The flowergirl opened the formal entrance of the bride by
preceding her down the aisle and tossing rose petals in the bride’s path.
Serving as maid of honor was Beth Haddon, a friend of the bride from Wildwood,
Illinois. She was joined by Lisa and Debra Davel, sisters from Loyal; and Jayne
Bauer, a cousin of t he bride from Wisconsin Rapids. Tennile Davel, the bride’s
niece of Neillsville, was the flowergirl.
Bradford Zepplin, a friend of the groom, was best man. He was joined by friend
Michael Loos, brother Roger Cook and bride’s brother, Larry Davel; all were from
Loyal. Ushering were Robert Davel, the bride’s brother of Neillsville, and Larry
Dommer, the groom’s cousin of Spencer.
The bride chose a floor-length gown featuring a Victorian neckline with puffy
sleeves and a beaded flower on each sleeve and in the middle of the dress. The
gown was enhanced by a three-foot train and matching veiled and beaded hat. She
carried white and pink roses adorned with pine. Her attendants wore pleated long
formals in a wine color and carried single white roses set in pine and ribbons.
The groom was attired in a while tuxedo while his attendants wore dark green
tuxedos with ruffled shirts in a wine color.
Following the service, a reception was held at the Loyal American Legion Hall.
The couple announced that they would take a summer wedding trip.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Cook will make their home in Loyal. She is a 1980 graduate
of Loyal High School; he in 1975. He is employed by Branstiter Brothers of
Greenwood.
