The Rev. Steven Hasenstein, in Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, performed the
marriage ceremony commemorating the fourth generation of men and women in the
bride’s family who were united in holy matrimony at the Zion Lutheran Church in
Colby, as Diane Arlyle Schultz and Rodney (? – hard to read) Lee Harder
exchanged wedding vows on Saturday, August 21, 1974.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otis Schultz (? – hard to read), Loyal, was given
in marriage by her parents, to the son of Victor Harder, also from Loyal. Her
great-great grandparents were wed here in (1889? – hard to read), her
grandparents in (1920? – hard to read), and her mother and father in (19?? –
hard to read).
Miss Peggy Teter, Minneapolis, Minnesota was maid of honor, and Mrs. Daniel
Brevener of Greenwood, Mrs. Gary Kallberg of Owen, Mrs. Terry Harder of Colby,
Miss Bonny Harder, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Robert Knecht, Abbotsford, were
bridesmaids.
Performing the duties of best man was John (Bijoski? – hard to read), Loyal,
Dennis Wahler of Madison, Gary Kallberg of Owen, Terry Harder of Colby, Kenneth
Knecht, Marshfield, and Robert Knecht, Abbotsford, as groomsmen. Dennis Schultz,
Illinois, and Robert (?? – hard to read), Minneapolis, Minnesota, were ushers.
