Susan Mary Reise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reise, Unity, became the
bride of Allen Michael Hubing, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hubing, Colby, at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby on Saturday, September 14, 1974. Father Frank
performed the 5 p.m. ceremony. Mrs. Alice Gabriel, organist, accompanied the
choir.
Escorted down the aisle by her father, the brie appeared wearing a white organza
gown. Cotton Venice lace flowers trimmed the empire bodice and sleeves. She wore
a Camelot style headpiece and veil which matched the gown, and carried a bouquet
of red roses and white gardenia with baby’s breath.
Shari Hubing, Oshkosh, was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Patrick
Kennedy, Chili, and Mr. Daniel Pupp, Menasha. They were attired in crepe floor
length dresses with white trim in alternating colors of blue, green, and
lavender, and carried matching colored bouquets.
Serving as best man was Francis Mueller, Colby, and groomsmen were Patrick
Kennedy, Chili and Daniel Pupp, Menasha. Brian Resie and David Hubing performed
ushering duties.
A reception, supper, and dance were held at the Unity Village Hall.
The bride is a 1974 graduate of Colby High School and her husband a salesman for
Hubing Auto Supplies, is a 1966 graduate of Colby High School.
After a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin, the couple will make their home at
Colby.
