Mark Runzheimer, a senior at Colby High School, was recently notified that he is
to be featured in the eighth annual edition of Who’s Who Among American High
School students, 1973-74, the largest student award publication in the nation.
Students from over 30,000 public, private and parochial high schools throughout
the country are recognized for their leadership in academics, athletics,
activities or community service in the books. Less than three percent of the
junior and senior class students nationwide are this recognition.
Runzheimer is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Runzheimer, Route 2, Colby. He is
active in various clubs and athletics, and has also be involved in 4-H work and
boy scouts.
In addition to having his biography published in the book, Runzheimer will also
compete for one of 10 scholarship awards of $500 to $1,000, funded by the
publishers, and will be invited to participate in the firm’s annual “Survey of
High Achievers.”
