Eugene John Weiler 93 of Auburndale, passed away on Thursday August 25, 2022, at

Eugene was born April 27, 1929, in Marshfield to Thomas and Mary (Ott) Weiler.
He attended St. Mary’s Grade School grades one through ten, and graduated from

He adored his wife and family, never missed his morning coffee, newspaper, and
loved to travel. Eugene and Rita renewed their wedding vows in the Diocese of La

celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Eugene was always extremely active. He loved to fish and hunt, especially with
his family, friends, and card club members. He enjoyed tending to his yard
(which was perfectly kempt) making sure the birds were fed, and all of the
visiting dogs and cats had a great place to play. Eugene took pride in having a
comfortable place for family and friends to gather.
Eugene was engaged in the community as a faithful member of the St. Mary’s
Catholic Church Cemetery Committee and the Knights of Columbus Council 4646 of
Junction City. He was famous for peeling the potatoes for Friday night fish
fries at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Eugene was a dairy farmer who took over the family farm from his father. Eugene
and Rita took care of Eugene’s father until his death. Eugene retired in 1992
passing the family farm onto his son Mark. Eugene had the opportunity to work
with his wife and his children.

Eugene was proud of all of his children and wanted all to know, “I have an
amazing family, and I admire each and every one of you. Promise me you will be
OK. And if you cannot live without me, then let me live on in your eyes, your
mind and your acts of kindness. Through the years we all will be together.”
