Kangas, Walter L. “Wally” (7 November 1939 – 27 August 2022)
Walter “Wally” L. Kangas, age 82, of Owen, passed away on Saturday, August 27,
2022, at his home.
Walter was born on November 7, 1939, the son of Gilbert and Bertha (Mattila)
Kangas in Painesdale, MI. He served in the U. S. Army from 1963-67. Walter was
united in marriage to Shirley Niemi.
Walter is survived by his wife, three children; four grandchildren; five
great-grandchildren and one sister. He is preceded in death by his parents, his
daughter and a brother.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral
Home in Owen is entrusted with the arrangements.
