Okel, LuAnn Marie (19 December 1981)

The new Mr. and Mrs. Donald Adams are making their home in Greenwood where she is a teacher, and he is a Methodist minister.

The couple, Luann Marie Okel and Donald Louis Adams, were married on the afternoon of December 19 in services at Faith Presbyterian Church in Crivitz with the Revs. Robert Adams, Jr. and Russell Tillotson officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Okel, rural Wausaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Adams, Lake Montezuma, Arizona.

Serving as matron of honor was Lynn Bauer, a sister of the bride from Crivitz. She was joined by Jean Hill of Crivitz and Michelle Duram of Greenwood, both friends of the bride. Serving as bestman was Kevin Maloney, a friend of the groom from Medford, Oregon. He was joined by Henry Bauer, brother-in-law of the bride, and William Hill, a cousin of the bride; both from Crivitz and both also served as ushers.

Special music at the service was provided by Paul Matty and Annette Steigelman.

The bride chose a pleated, long gown and carried a bouquet of red roses. Her attendants wore red, hooded full-length gowns and carried a bouquet of holly-laced muffs. The groom wore a black tuxedo with white shirt and black tie while his attendants were attired in black tuxedos, red shirts and black ties.

Following the service a reception was held at the middle Inlet Townhall. The couple then left for a Caribbean wedding trip.

The new Rev. and Mrs. Adams are making their home on South Eaten Street in Greenwood. She is a graduate of UW-Oshkosh and teaches English at Greenwood High School. He will graduate in May from United Theological Seminary in St. Paul with a master’s degree and is presently employed as minister for the Greenwood and Christie Methodist Churches.
