Thomsen, Henry (? – 1 February 1982)
A former Penny store manager in Neillsville, Henry Thomsen, passed away on
February 1, in a Tigard, Oregon, convalescent center. He was 86 at the time of
his death.
Thomsen came to the United States in 1914 at the age of 19. He was born in Jels,
Denmark. He worked for the J.C. Penny Company as a store manager in Lidgerwood,
North Dakota, and Neillsville. In 1968, he moved to King City, Oregon.
Surviving him are his wife, Cora, King City; Jane Eggiman, Beaverton, Oregon;
four sisters in Demark; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a son, Roger.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 4, from the Young Funeral Home
in Tigard with interment in a Portland Cemetery.
