Hanson, Peter (13 Jul 1889 – 7 Oct 1974)
Mr. Peter Hanson died at the Continental Manor, Abbotsford at 8:10 a.m. Monday,
October 7, 1974. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the
Presbyterian Church in Abbotsford, with Rev. Robert Swalve officiating. He was
buried at the Abbotsford Cemetery.
Mr. Hanson was born at Curtiss on July 13, 1889, and was married to Elizabeth
Redwine March 21, 1914 at Owen. He received his education at Curtiss and worked
in lumber camps for several years, and also for the lumber company at Owen. They
moved to homestead a farm west of Abbotsford in the Town of Mayville. He had
been a resident of Abbotsford since 2967. He was a member of the Presbyterian
Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cletus (Anna Marie) Schraufnagel, Colby,
Mrs. Russell (Dorothy) Westendorf, Withee, and one son, John Hanson, Westboro,
three sisters, Mrs. Norma Johnson, Abbotsford, Mrs. Paulina Randall, Owen, Mrs.
Laurel Rauley, San Antonio, Texas, and one brother, Ole J. Hanson, Abbotsford.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and six sisters.
