Flaherty, Vivian (27 March 1920 – 26 November 2007)
Vivian Flaherty, Ypsilanti, MI, age 87, passed away Monday, November 26, 2007,
at home.
She was born March 27, 1920, in Neillsville, WI, the daughter of Julius and
Jennie (Winton) Winter. On May 4, 1941, she married Leslie Flaherty in Highland
Park, IL and he preceded her in death January 4, 2001. Vivian was a homemaker
and a member of Faith United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Victoria Goins of Ypsilanti; two sons, Lester
(Debbie) and Rodney (Prudy), both of FL; twelve grandchildren; 34 great
grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Marty of
WI, Clarice Lockman of WA and Grace Schoen of WI; and several nieces and
nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents,
two brothers Arthur and Clifford; two sisters, Alice Lisko and Edith Ottens.
The funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday, November 30, 2007, at Stark Funeral
Service Moore Memorial Chapel with Pastor Beth Titus of Faith United Methodist
Church officiating. Burial will follow in Denton Cemetery. The family will
receive friends at the funeral home 6-9 p.m. Thursday. Please sign her guest
