Mr. and Mrs. John Kulas, Athens, celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary
Sunday, October 11, 1974 with a dinner and supper for family members at their
home.
Present were their children and families, Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Kulas and son
Kevin, Abbotsford, Mrs. Theodore Kulas and family and William Samon, Abbotsford,
Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Kulas and daughter, Cindy, and Mr. and Dave Kulas and
family, all of Athens. Grandchildren and families present were Galen Kulas and
friend of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Albrecht and family, Athens, and Mr.
and Mrs. Leander Ziebell and son Adam, Edgar. Also present were Mrs. Kulas’
sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Erickson, Dorchester.
The children of the celebrants presented them with a three tiered Golden Wedding
Anniversary cake.
Unable to be present for the occasion was a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Christine)
Dassow, Athens. A son, Theodore, passed away several years ago.
John Kulas and the former Rose Hiebel were married at St. John’s Catholic Church
in Wuerzburg on October 14, 1924. After their marriage, they resided in the town
of Johnson. Kulas was a woods worker and family. Mrs. Kulas is a homemaker, and
for the past 14 years has been a nurses and at the Medford Memorial Hospital.
She is still active in this capacity. They moved to the village of Athens a year
ago.
On Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Kulas entertained for dinner at their home in honor of
their anniversary for Mrs. Catherine Kuzenski, Mrs. Charlotte Johnson, Mrs. Sue
Jurisin, Mrs. Maggie Hoff and Mrs. Marie Molitor. The ladies are all co-workers
of Mrs. Kulas at the Medford Hospital.
