Earl and Jack Boss, Route 1, Colby, received Northern States Power Company’s
Premier Dairyman Award for Clark County outstanding Dairyman. The Award was
presented by Robert Cattanach, NSP’s District Superintendent, at Neillsville at
the Annual Diary Awards Banquet held Tuesday evening, October 22, 1974 at the
Clark Electric Auditorium in Greenwood.
The selection of Boss for the award was based on official Dairy Herd Improvement
Association (DHIA) records for the last three years.
Earl and Jack Boss achieved a record average annual production of 15,563 pounds
of milk and 602 pounds of butterfat, which were the highest attained in the
Clark County DHIA program for this period, according to A. D. Drop, Agricultural
Agent.
Northern States Power Company, in cooperation with DHIA, presents the annual
award in each of the 15 counties which it serves.
