Uhlig, Ella R. (5 Nov 1903 – 21 Oct 1974)

Services were held for Mrs. George Uhlig, 70, Abbotsford, on Thursday, October 24, 1974 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Lillian Jensen officiating. She was buried at Pine Hill Cemetery, Curtiss.

Mrs. Uhlig died at 4:15 p.m. Monday, October 21, 1874 at the Continental Manor, Abbotsford.

Born on November 5, 1903 in Curtiss, the former Ella Rose Koerner married George Uhlig on July 27, 1927. They farmed in the Colby area, near Curtiss, at Alden, Illinois, and at Pittsville until their retirement in 1969. They then moved to Green Vista Apartments, Abbotsford, where Mr. Uhlig still resides.

Mrs. Uhlig was a member of the Abbotsford Senior Citizens and loved at Continental Manor for one year.

Other survivors include, besides her husband, include one son, Norbert, Neenah, five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Delores) Johnson, Gay Mills, Mrs. Myrtle McCormick, Harvard, Illinois, Mrs. Lester (Evelyn) Waling, Grygla, Minnesota, Mrs. George (Carol) Brown, Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. Dale (Paulette) Wagner, Colby.

She is survived by three brothers, William Koerner, Fontana, Ervin Koerner, Owen, George Koerner, Curtiss, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Trowbridge, Milladore.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
