Gregorio, Ivee (Winner - 1982)
Taking the championship ranks in a March 16 Spelling Bee for the Neillsville
Middle School was Ivee Gregorio, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Federico Gregorio,
1004 West Fifth Street. This was the third year in a row that Ivee took first
place. Joining her was Gail Naedler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Naedler, 309
West 17th St., who was named alternate. Both Ivee and Gail are seventh graders.
Gail misspelled the word “pernicious,” which Ivee spelled correctly, and then
went on to spell “chrysalis” correctly to win. A total of 16 students from fifth
through eighth grade participated in the Bee. Ivee will represent Neillsville in
a CESA-6 bee in Chippewa Falls on Tuesday, March 30.
