Hansen, James - Pvt. (Service Notes - 1982)
Pvt. James Hansen, son of Joyce Steinkrauss of Wichita, Kansas, and Everett
Hansen, Rt. 2 Granton, is one of approximately 2,800 soldiers from the 1st
Cavalry Division of Fort Hood, Tex., recently deployed to Fort Drum, N.Y., for
operation “Blue Northern.” The 30-day training is designed to evaluate soldier
performance in cold weather conditions. James, a cannon crewman, is a 1969
graduate of Neillsville High School.
