Milbreit, Elsie (30 November 1896 – 12 March 1982)

A long-time resident of the Towns of Pine Valley and York, Mrs. William (Elsie) Milbreit, passed away on Friday morning, March 12, in St., Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. She was 85.

The deceased was born on November 30, 1896, in Plainfield to Mr. and Mrs. Anton Frozene. After receiving her education in Waushara County, she worked in Chicago for several years. On March 20, 1919, she married William G. Milbreit in Coloma ceremonies. The couple then moved to the Town of Pine Valley where they farmed until 1954, retiring to Neillsville. Three years later, they moved to the Town of York, where they made residence with their son, Harold.

Surviving Mrs. Milbreit are her husband and son. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, March 15, from the Neillsville United Church of Christ with the Rev. Gary Clark officiating, and special music was provided by Ellis Wall and Deon Spangler. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. The pallbearers were Harold Embke, Henry Elmhorst, Lee Kapfer, Donald Pflughoeft, Dale Meyer and Glen Luchterhand. The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Attending the services from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Marty Sumwalt, Friendship; Mr. and Mrs. William Frozene, Westfield, Elsie Procknow, Coloma, and Robert Bruley, Necedah.
