Meyers, Willard W. “Bill” (19 July 1951 – 2 October 2022)
Willard “Bill” W. Meyers, age 71, of Colby, passed away on Sunday, October 2,
2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center.
Bill was born on July 19, 1951, the son of Herbert and Lenore (Boss) Meyers, Jr.
in Stanley. He graduated from Colby High School in 1971. Bill farmed all his
life and was a 4th generation farmer. He was united in marriage to Patricia
Uerling on April 24, 1976, at First United Church of Christ in Colby.
Bill enjoyed driving trucks, international tractors, going to tractor pulls and
stock car races. He also liked to go camping. Most importantly, Bill enjoyed
spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Pat; four daughters: Kristina
(Ronald) Lekie of Owen, Katherine Meyers of Loyal, Sara Meyers (Larry Pawlus) of
Colby and Ashley (Justin) Kloth of Curtiss; 11 grandchildren: Jacob, Susan,
Stephanie and Bryana Meyers, Rebecca Lekie, Sean and Jackie Geiger, Elizabeth,
Isabelle, Elijah and Isaac Kloth. He is further survived by three siblings:
Duane (Marilyn) Meyers of Colby; Jeanne Winkler of Suamico and Kenneth (Kristi)
Meyers of La Vergne, TN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Robert and Keith; a
brother-in-law, Dennis Winkler; a sister-in-law, Kathy Meyers and a niece,
Andrea Winkler.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 7, 2022, at
First United Church of Christ in Colby. Pastor Teri Hanson will officiate.
Interment to follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Town of Colby. Family and
friends are welcome from 9:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday at the
church. Live stream will be available for those unable to attend on the Maurina
Schilling Funeral Home Facebook page or after the service anytime on Facebook or
the website.
