Jicinsky, Charles F. “Charlie” (3 May 1933 - 7 October 2022)
Charles “Charlie” F. Jicinsky, age 89, of Unity, passed away on Friday, October
7, 2022, at the Colonial Center in Colby under the tender care of St. Croix
Hospice.
Charlie was born on May 3, 1933, the son of Ferdinand and Frances (Sterzinger)
Jicinsky in Colby. He was raised on a dairy farm in the Town of Brighton and
eventually took over the family farm. Charlie was united in marriage to Donna
Frankland on November 12, 1960, in Marshfield. She preceded him in death on
February 15, 1992.
Charlie enjoyed tractor pulls, deer hunting, NASCAR, travelling around the
state, especially during the fall and loved Westerns.
Charlie is survived by his four children: Dale of Unity, Carol (Greg) Kraus of
Wausau, David of Unity and Cory (Jodi) of Queen Creek, AZ; three grandchildren:
Mason Kraus, Morgan Jicinsky and McKenna Jicinsky; a brother, Kenneth Jicinsky
of Spencer and a sister, Delores Petersen of Circle Pines, MN; other relatives
and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Help of
Christians Catholic Parish in Colby on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Father
Joseph Redfern will officiate. Interment to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery
in Colby. Family and friends are welcome from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday,
October 11 at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and from 10:00
a.m. until time service Wednesday at the church.
