Jensen, Veryl Mae (7 June 1930 – 11 October 2022)
Veryl M. Jensen, 92, of Stevens Point formerly Loyal, passed away on Tuesday,
October 11, 2022, at Willow Brooke Point Senior Living Facility in Stevens Point
with care provided by ProMedica Hospice.
Veryl was born in the Town of Beaver, Loyal, on June 7, 1930, to Otto and Iva
(Hutchins) Foelske. She graduated from Loyal High School. She was an employee at
Land O Lakes in Spencer for over 20 years.
She was a member of Spencer United Methodist Church now known as Faith Journey
Church.
Veryl enjoyed many hobbies including bowling and motorcycle riding. She was a
skilled seamstress and skilled in cross-stitch. She sang in the choir and played
the piano, organ and violin.
Those who will cherish her memory include her children: Carolyn Sauer of Stevens
Point, Gary (Paula) Jensen of Vesper, Brian (Sandra) Jensen of Cameron, Sharon
(Walter) Grulkowski of Mosinee and Judith O’Brien of Florida; her grandchildren,
Michael (Gayle) Sauer, Karrie Sauer, Sarah (Chuck) Oyler, Andrew (Andrea)
Jensen, Jeremy (Melodee) Jensen, Westly (Rabecca) Jensen, Garret Jensen, Ami
Freimund, Tiffany (Kyle) Walker and Autumn O’Brien; her great-grandchildren,
Chris, Alex, Jenna, Jacob, Jake, Kasey, Lucas, Zaden, Samantha, Carter and Nolan
and her sister, Norma (George) Held of Eagle, Wisc., along with many other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Iva Foelske and her sisters,
Janice (Ray) Binnig, Elleen Owens and Nelda (Arthur) Franz.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Faith
Journey Church formerly Spencer United Methodist Church in Spencer with Rev.
Kerry Wilson officiating. She will be laid to rest in West Spencer Cemetery in
the Town of Sherman. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on
Friday from 9 A.M. until time of service.
