Boyer, Shari Lynn (17 April 1982)
Shari Lynn Boyer and Jerome Edward Ryba were united in marriage on Saturday
afternoon, April 17, by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff at Neillsville’s St. John’s
Evangelical Lutheran Church. Patents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Boyer,
Rt. 1 Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Ryba, Rt. 2 Curtiss.
“The Lord’s Prayer” and “The Wedding Song” were musical offerings during the
service, performed by Mrs. Melvin Nemitz and Mrs. Paul Tess.
Serving as maid of honor was Kari Waltemate, the bride’s twin sister of
Neillsville. She was joined by Brenda Ruzic, a sister of the bride also from
Neillsville. Greg Ryba, a brother of the groom from Owen, was best man; he was
joined by Jeff Benson, a friend of the groom from Prescott. Ushering were Ivan
Ruzic, the bride’s brother-in-law of Neillsville, and Duane Churkey, a friend of
the groom from Withee.
The bride chose a nylon lace gown with high collar, pearl buttons and sheer
sleeves with lace cuffs. Her fingertip-length pearl crown veil was edged in
lace. She carried a bouquet of aqua and white roses with baby’s breath. Her
attendants wore gowns of aqua crepe with lace over-blouses, wore rose-adorned
combs in their hair and carried bouquets similar to the bride’s. The groom and
his attendants were attired in silver gray tuxedos.
Following the service, a reception was held at the Wildcat Inn, followed by a
dance at the Neillsville American Legion Hall. The couple announced that they
would take a later wedding trip. They will make their home in Owen.
