Vetterkind, Daniel W. “Boone” (2 October 1963 - 13 October 2022)
Daniel W. “Boone” Vetterkind, age 59, of Greenwood, passed away on Thursday
October 13th, 2022, after battling cancer.
Dan was born on October 2nd, 1963, to Frances and Holley Vetterkind. He was a
Greenwood Native and went to Greenwood High School.
He had many interests, but especially loved spending time outside. He was a true
Wisconsinite and believed in the power of beer, fishing and hunting. His hobbies
included gardening, canning, smoking, and shooting anything possible.
Daniel is survived by four children: Riley (Leah) Stokosa of Eau Claire,
Danielle Stokosa of New Auburn, Racheal Vetterkind of Eureka, CA and Lily
Kasmierski of Owen; His three grandchildren; three surviving brothers: Michael
(Carla) Vetterkind of Greenwood, Pat Vetterkind (Jane) of Stetsonville, Dave
(Jane) Vetterkind of Homer, AK. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Holley, on November 27, 2001; Tiny on
February 15, 2015, and one sister, Susan Armbrust on November 29, 1996.
A Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022,
at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. Burial will take place at Riverside
Cemetery, in Withee, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
