Lira, Magdalena Chairez (13 June 1955 – 27 October 2022)
Magdalena “Ma” Chairez Lira, age 67, of Curtiss, passed away on Thursday,
October 27, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center.
Magdalena was born on June 13, 1955, the daughter of Marcial Chairez Romero and
Fransisca Lira Ramirez in El Sauz Nieves Zacatecas, Mexico. She was united in
marriage to Armando Bonilla Guzman on January 16, 1970, in Nieves, Gral. FCO. R.
Murguia, Zacatecos, Mexico. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2020.
Ma. Magdalena enjoyed tending to her huge flower garden and painting. She loved
to cook, and her home was the gathering place for her family and friends.
Ma. Magdalena is survived by her six children: Olegario Bonilla, Maria Elena
Bonilla, Fernando Bonilla, Omar Bonilla, Armando Bonilla Jr. and Christina
Bonilla; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; her mother, Fransisca; 10
brothers and sisters: Martha, Javier, Marcial, Arturo, Rosalba, Maria de Jesus,
Lucresia, Olga, Romelia and Laura; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 4,
2022, at Saint Bernard Catholic Church in Abbotsford. Father Timothy Oudenhoven
will officiate. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in the Town of
Mayville. Family and friends are welcome from 2:00 p.m. until time of service
Friday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is
entrusted with the arrangements.
