Teter, Harry M. (5 May 1900 - 28 April 1982)
Harry M. Teter, 81, Rt. 1 Neillsville, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April
28. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Teter was born on May 5, 1900, in Foresman, Indiana, to Jason and Ida
(Dunlap) Teter. He atte4nded rural schools in Iowa. On August 18, 1920, he
married Gladys Bird in Waterloo, Iowa ceremonies. The couple farmed in Michigan
and Iowa, coming to Loyal in 1948. They later moved to the Chili and Granton
areas. In 1971, he retired, and the couple moved to their rural Neillsville
home.
Surviving him, besides his wife, are two sons, Herschel of Owen and Dale of
Granton; two daughters, Mrs. D.K. (Marguerite) Thomson of Waterloo, Iowa, and
Mrs. Dell (Norma Jean) Bravener of Greenwood; 17 grandchildren; and 23
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, May 1, from the Gilbertson
Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. William Noble of the Neillsville and Granton
United Methodist Churches officiated with burial made in the Windfall Cemetery
of Granton. Mrs. Roger Helm offered special music for the service.
