Wendt, Eva A. (28 June 1909 – 27 April 1982)
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, April 30, for Eva A. Wendt, 72,
of 210 East Fourth St., Neillsville, who passed away at Neillsville Memorial
Hospital on Tuesday, April 27. The Rev. William Noble officiated at the United
Methodist Church service with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery, with
pallbearers Ronald Hribar, Franklin Hrasky, Clair Wendt, Larry Wendt, Stanley
Kurasz and Frederick Dux. The Gesche Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Iris Musil and Cora Noble offered special music for the services.
The deceased was born on June 28, 1909, in Neillsville to Frederick E. and
Minnie (Raether) Wendt. She attended Forman School and then lived with her
parents. She also did housework for area people. She later moved into the city
with her mother and continued to do housework. She was a member of the
Neillsville United Methodist Church.
Surviving her is a sister, Mrs. Mary Stuhlman of Weyauwega. She was preceded in
death by four brothers, Alton, Alvin, Melvin and Frederick.
Attending the services from out of town were the Stuhlmans and Mrs. Paul
Stuhlman and son, Howard, all of Weyauwega; Mrs. Thomas Graveen & sons, Wausau;
Mr./Mrs. Ronald Hribar & family, Oconomowoc; Mr,/Mrs. Clair Wendt & family and
Carol Johnson, Marshfield; Larry Wendt, Stoughton; Mr./Mrs. Stanley Kurasz &
family, Morrison, Ill.; Neland Will, Colby; Mr./Mrs. Ronald Berrett & daughter
and Jean Worden, all of Greenwood; Mr./Mrs. Francis Michels, Alma Center;
Mr./Mrs. Max Opelt, Granton; and Mr./Mrs. Arnold Oldham, Owen.
