Green, Bob (18 May 1948 – 12 October 2022) With Flag

Bob Green from Merrillan, died Oct. 12, 2022, at VA Hospice in Tomah, at the age of 74 from lung cancer. He was born May 18, 1948, in Neillsville., one of nine kids of Raymond and Nora Green. The family moved to Merrillan early on. He went through school in Merrillan and Alma Center, then served his time in Vietnam. He didn’t plan on coming home, but he did. He said many times he lived a life that few had the opportunity to do.

He didn’t have any children of his own but took care of many kids along the way. He lived with Heidi Lauer for 20-plus years; she loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Nora, and sisters Rosemary and Betty.

He is survived by his sisters Shirley, Nora Lee, Gladys and Dorothy and brothers Tom, Hank and Beaver, plus many nieces and nephews. He was loved much and will be missed by many.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at the Corner Bar in Merrillan starting at 1 p.m.
