Miller, Lillian D. (July 1929 – 3 November 2022)
Lillian D Miller, who lived most of her life in the Withee area passed
peacefully on November 3, 2022.
Lillian was born to Laura and Andrew Olsen in July of 1929. She attended Withee
schools and graduated in 1947. After living a short time in Minneapolis and
Chicago, she returned to Withee and married Loren Miller in 1950. They had a
family dairy farm in Longwood, for many years before retiring to live in Withee.
She enjoyed gardening and having a good cup of coffee with friends. Lillian was
always active in church activities, served many years in Ladies Aid as
president, and taught Sunday school.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Alfred,
her sisters, Ida and Agnes, and her daughter, Marilyn. She is survived by her
sister, Ellen, her children, Lorna (John), Janet (Cliff), Brian, and Bruce
(Susan), as well as many special nephews and nieces. She had nine grandchildren
- Erica, Alison, Krista, John, Jessica, Kate, Kelsey, Amanda, and Malinda. She
had nine great-grandchildren: Christopher, Lauren, Sebastian, Declan, Claire,
Kevin, James, Blaise, Ryan, and new baby due in January.
A private family service will be held to honor Lillian's life. A future memorial
and celebration of her life is being planned for 2023.
Memorial gifts are suggested to Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Longwood, Box 27,
Greenwood, WI 54437. The family would like to thank Pastor Elizabeth Bier for
her comforting visits, and Oakbrook Nursing and Rehabilitation in Thorp for
their care during the last 1 and half years.
