Shelby Boettcher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Boettcher, Rt. 1, Colby, is
the Colby High School Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) winner.
Her future plans are to become and X-Ray Technologist.
The DAR annually sponsors a contest open to senior girls of public and private
schools. A senior girl selected as the local school’s good citizen
representative in the state and national contest must have qualifications of
leadership, dependability, service and patriotism to an outstanding degree.
Savings bonds are given as state awards, and a $1,000 scholarship for the
national contest first place.
