Hansen, William (Military Notes - 1982)
William Hansen, son of William and Lily Hansen, 308 East Sixth St., Neillsville,
is serving aboard the Navy’s newest destroyer tender, the USS Cape Cod, which is
homeported in San Diego. William is a Yeoman 2nd Class. The 641-foot long ship
carried a crew of 1,800; it is designed to provide repair and supply services to
the new destroyer class of ships.
