Susa, Jane Marie (5 June 1982)

The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated at the Greenwood St. Mary’s Catholic Church wedding rites on Saturday afternoon, June 5, for Jane Marie Susa and David Alan Braun. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Giles Susa, Sr., Rt. 1 Greenwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Braun, Rt. 2 Greenwood.

Ana T. Garcia Zamora, a foreign exchange sister from Mexico City, Mexico served as the bride’s maid of honor. She was joined by Tammy Braun, a niece of the groom from Greenwood, and Sandy Gray, a friend of the bride from Marshfield.

Todd Braun, a nephew of the groom was bestman. He was joined by Giles Susa, Jr., a brother of the bride, and Matt Ruzic, a friend of the groom. All are from Greenwood. Ushering were Kirk Bauer, a cousin of the groom from Colby, and Dan Susa, a brother of the bride from Greenwood.

Margaret Gosar, Greenwood, and Nancy Milz of Loyal offered special music for the ceremonies.

The bride chose an Edwardian-style gown of sheer organza and Venician lace. She carried a bouquet of pink roses, white carnations and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore yellow, blue and lavender gowns featuring a netted Camisole top, slitted shoulders and full skirt with string belt. They carried bouquets of daisies, violets and baby’s breath, each in hues that matched their gowns. The groom and his attendants were attired in gray tuxedos.

Following the nuptials, a reception was held at the Greenwood American Legion Hall and a dinner was served in St. Mary’s School hall. The couple then left on a west coast wedding trip.

The new Mr. and Mrs. Braun will make their home on Rt. 2 Greenwood. The bride and groom are graduates of Greenwood High School; he is a self-employed logger.
