Wiesner, Violet E. (14 February 1891 – 1 June 1982)
Funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, June 4, for Violet E. Wiesner,
91, from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. The Rev. D.E. Sprague
officiated with burial made in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Special music at
the funeral was provided by Mrs. Norman Faber.
Mrs. Wiesner passed away in Neillsville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday afternoon,
June 1. She had been a resident of Neillsville Memorial Home for the past three
years due to failing health.
The deceased was born on February 14, 1891, in the Town of Lynn to Henry and
Amelia (Knoop) Yankee. She received her education in Lynn schools and then
worked in that area until her June 26, 1918, marriage to Louis F. Wiesner in
Neillsville ceremonies.
The couple farmed in the Lynn area for a few years and then operated the Lynn
Repair Shop until 1946 when they moved to Neillsville, where they remained the
rest of their lives.
On December 22, 1962, Mr. Wiesner died. Three years ago, Mrs. Wiesner became a
resident of Neillsville Memorial Home.
Surviving her are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides
her husband, by nine brothers and sisters.
