Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lenz, Rt. 2, Colby, announce the engagement of their
daughter, Carol Jean, to Larry James, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Oehmichen, also
of Rt. 2, Colby. The couple are graduates of Colby High School.
Miss Lenz is a Senior at Bellin Memorial School of Nursing, and will be
graduating in June. Her fiancé is presently occupied in farming.
The couple is planning a June 21, 1975 wedding.

Carol Lenz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Lenz, and Larry Oehmichen, son of
Mr. and Mrs. James Oehmichen, all of Route 2, Colby, were married at 3 p.m. June
21, 1975 by Rev. Robert Swalve at the First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford.
Joyce Lenz, sister of the bride, was soloist.
Attending the bride were her sister, Joyce Lenz as maid of honor, and Mrs. Tony
Kedrowski, bridesmaid. Darlen and Julie Oehmichen, sister of the bridegroom,
were also bridesmaids.
Completing the wedding party was Allen Kruger, Colby, best man, and groomsmen
Gary Sommer, Colby and Rick Arnold Maple. Tony Kedrowski, Unity, and Allen
Fricke, Colby, performed ushering duties.
The bride chose a gown of ivory Marcaine knit, fashioned with a molded empire
bodice and an attached Watteau semi-cathedral train. The keyhole neckline and
long tapered sleeves were accented with beaded pearl Venice ivory lace. Her veil
was of ivory illusion. The bridal bouquet was multi-colored roses and baby’s
breath.
The attendants wore aqua blue gowns fashioned with full-circled flared skirts,
featuring V-necks and sleeves bodices with sheer nylon printed over blouses.
Wedding festivities include a dinner in the church basement and a reception and
dance at The Sword.
The bride is a graduate of Colby High School and Bellin Memorial Hospital School
of Nursing. She is a registered nurse.
The bridegroom graduated from Colby High School and is engaged in framing.
After a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, the couple will live at Route 2,
Colby.
