Gosse, Fred W. (8 Jul 1890 – 10 Mar 1975)
Services will be held for Fred W. Gosse, 84, Abbotsford, on Friday, March 14,
1975 at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Abbotsford, with Rev. Robert Swalve
officiating.
Mr. Gosse passed away at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Orlando, Florida, on
Monday, March 10, 1975.
His body will lie in state at Polnaszek Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday. He will
be buried in Abbotsford Cemetery.
Mr. Gosse was born on July 8, 1890 in Manitowoc County. He married the former
Ina Johnson on January 4, 1921 in Waukegan, Illinois.
He received his education in Colby area schools. After his marriage he settled
in this area and was an interior and exterior decorator all his life until he
retired in 1962. He was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Gosse is survived by his wife, four sons: Fred, Ocoee, Florida, Vernon,
Abbotsford, John and Leon, both of Milwaukee; three daughters: Merle, Medford,
Mrs. Donald (Darlene) White, Winter Park, Florida, Mrs. Bernard (Dona) Decker,
Orlando, Florida; a brother, Carl, Abbotsford; 12 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
