Students earn Chancellor’s Award (1st Sem. 1974/75)

Five students from the Abbotsford area have been named to receive the
Chancellor’s Award for academic excellence during the first semester at the
University of Wisconsin, Stout.
They are Carol A. Kops, a freshman majoring in clothing, textiles and design,
and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kops, Route 1, Unity; Wendy Gail
Schwoch, a freshman majoring in applied match, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Ted Schwoch, 166 N. 2nd Street, Dorchester; Bill R. Meyer, a sophomore majoring
in industrial technology, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell H. Meyer, and Dean
and Gene Ruppert, both sophomores majoring in vocational rehabilitation, and the
sons of Mr. And Mrs. Harold Ruppert, Route 1, all from Colby.
The award replaced what has been traditionally known as the Dean’s List, and is
presented to students who have a semester grade point average of 3.5 or above.
