Lloyd, Loretta (18 April 1910 – 21 June 1982)
Mrs. Ray (Loretta) Lloyd passed away on Friday, June 18, in St. Joseph’s
Hospital, Marshfield. She had been a resident of the Clark County Health Care
Center at Owen for the past two years due to failing health.
The deceased was born on April 18, 1910, in Loyal to Charles and Clara (Baldwin)
Alberts. After receiving her education in Loyal schools, she worked in
Neillsville until her November 4, 1927, marriage to Ray V. Lloyd in that
community. The couple then worked in various parts of Wisconsin, including
Loyal, Racine and Union Grove and then farmed in the Riplinger area for many
years. They then moved to Racine for several years prior to moving to Wausau
where they lived for eleven years. Upon retirement, they returned to Loyal.
Surviving her, besides her husband of Neillsville, are two sons, Donald and
Robert, both of Wausau; three daughters, Mrs. Allan (June) Prior and Mrs. Dale
(Angeline) Fravert, both of Loyal, and Mrs. John (Rita) Niswonger of
Neillsville; a half-sister, Caroline Arndt, Neillsville; a brother, Raymond
Alberts, Osseo; a half-brother, Leo Wiesner, Sr., Neillsville. She was preceded
in death by a son, Harold; and a half-sister, Mary.
Funeral services were held from the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville for Mrs.
Ray (Loretta) Lloyd, 72, on Monday afternoon, June 21. The Rev. Howard Ott of
the Neillsville United Methodist Church officiated at the service. Burial was
made in the Neillsville City Cemetery, and grandsons served as pallbearers.
