Hamus, Miss (22 Mar 1975)

After a wedding trip to the Southern States, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Allan Hein will be making their home at Route 2, Stratford. The couple was married Saturday, March 22, 1975 in a 1:30 p.m. ceremony performed by the Father Francis Rushman at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Mrs. Alois Gabriel provided the music.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Hamus of Unity, and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hein of Stratford.

Foer her day the bride chose a velvet empire gown with pearl beaded Venice floral motifs and a full chapel train. The bouffant veil was held in place with a cap which matched the gown. She carried a bouquet of red sweetheart roses and pink carnations, with stephanotis and baby’s breath.

The bride’s sister, Miss Sharon Hamus, Unity, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Cathy Hennes, Unity, and Miss Carol Jean Schuh, Colby, both friends of the bride.

They were attired in dark green and mint green velvet empire dress with should length veil and carried muffs decorated with miniature ear nabons(?).

Best Man was Gordon Hein, Stratford, brother of the bridegroom, and groomsmen were Jim Bean, Wausau and Michael Landwehr, Stratford, both friends of the bridegroom.

Following the wedding a reception supper and dance were held at the Unity Memorial Hall.

The bride is a 1973 graduate of Colby High School, and a 1975 graduate of NCTI. Her husband is a 1970 graduate of Stratford High School and served in the Army for two years. He is presently engaged in the business of farming.
