Brownson, Rose (29 May 1982)
Greenwood’s Missionary Baptist Church was the May 29 site for the exchange of
wedding vows between Rose Brownson and Michael Bollom. The Rev. Charles Saletri
officiated. Parents of the couple are Orion Brownson, 609 West Sixth St.,
Neillsville; Gareth Bollom of Neillsville; and Janice Thompson, 2221 West Eighth
Street., Neillsville.
Lori Kronberger, a friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Joining her were
Terri Buettner and Karen Gutenberger, both friends of the bride from
Neillsville. George Crothers was best man; he was joined by Glen Ambelang and
Brad Quicker. Ushering were Roger Roehl and Jim Wetzel. All of the men are
friends of the couple from Neillsville. Serving as ringbearer was Justin Weiss
while flower girl was Brigette Quicker, both of Neillsville.
Special music for the service was provided by LeAnn Brandt and Judy Tetzner.
The bride chose a satin-faced organza-over-taffeta gown with appliqued Venician
lace, Queen Anne, neckline and bishop sleeves. The gown extended into a
chapel-length train with border of sheer, pleated flounce with appliqués lace.
Her veil was attached to an open Juliet -half-cap. She carried a bouquet of
white carnations, wine colored tea roses and baby’s breath. Her attendants wore
gowns in royal purple, and which featured sundress tops, pleated skirts, short
bodice, jacket and hats. The groom and his attendants were attired in gray
tuxedos.
A reception in the church basement followed the service. The couple then left on
a wedding trip to Wisconsin Dells, Milwaukee and Chicago.
Prenuptial events included showers hosted by Lori Kronberger and Phyllis Weiss.
The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School and is employed as a dietary
aide at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. The groom, a graduate of the same high
school, is also employed by Memorial Hospital. The new Mr. and Mrs. Bollom will
make their home in Neillsville.
