Kuenzi, Walter E. (20 Mar 1899 – 20 Apr 1975)
Walter E. Kuenzi, 76, Wausau, died on Sunday, April 20, 1975 at the Colby Clinic
of an apparent heart attack.
Services will be held for Mr. Kuenzi on Wednesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at Christ
Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, with the Rev. Kenneth Loehke officiating. The body
will then be taken to Juneau, where services will be held at the Berndt Funeral
Home at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Otto Schreiber officiating. He will be buried in
Lowell, Wisconsin.
Mr. Kuenzi was born March 28, 1899 and attend school in Dodge County, and the
University of Wisconsin. He married the former Meta Schultz on January 7, 1922
in Dodge County.
He worked as a cheesemaker in Hustisford, Oak Grove and Manitowoc before moving
to Abbotsford in 1930. He worked at the White House Milk Company, from which he
retired in 1964.
Mr. Kuenzi was treasurer of Christ Lutheran Church and a member of the men’s
club of the church.
He is preceded in death by his wife and one son.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Sam (Gladys) Gosse, Wausau and Mrs. Marshall
(Ethel) Nelson, Racine; a sister, Mrs. Henry Nehls, Juneau, and four
grandchildren.
