Le Chau Tung, a six month old South Vietnamese boy seems to be happy and fell
wanted in his new home with his adoptive parents, Bryce and Maxine Luchterhand,
Rt. 1, Unity.
The 10 pound baby arrived at the Luchterhand home on April 26, 1975, but the
process of adoption began back in the beginning of July.
On July 6, the Luchterhands applied for adoption for a hard to place child
through the State of Wisconsin Agency in Eau Claire.
After meetings in Eau Claire and a home study, they were approved as adoptive
parents in early February.
“We felt there were son many people who wanted to adopt normal, white babies, so
we decided we wanted on that wasn’t so well wanted, that we could handle and
love.” Bryce Luchterhand said.
They specifically applied for an infant three months old or younger, who was
physically handicapped or of a different race.
