Mrs. Lillian E. Underwood, 56, Abbotsford, died on Wednesday, April 23, 1975 at
St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Services were held for Mrs. Underwood on
Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, with Rev.
Kenneth Loehrke officiating. She was buried in Abbotsford Cemetery.
Born on December 28, 1918 in the Town of Holton, Marathon County, the former
Lillian Kleiman married Leo Underwood on May 16, 1942, in Athens.
Mrs. Underwood attended Abbotsford schools and worked at Kramer’s IGA Store for
14 years, until two years ago. She lived in Abbotsford for the last 23 years.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the church choir and the Women’s
Guild.
Survivors include her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Adolph (Leisy) Becherer,
Greenfield, Susan, Milwaukee, Mrs. Richard (Beverly) Felstead, Waterman,
Illinois; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Gosse, Abbotsford, Mrs. Daisy Laack,
Abbotsford, and Mrs. Gil Halles, Chicago; and for grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
