Among the 12 senior women at the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire for
membership in Gold Caps, on April 10, 1975, was Wendy Awe, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Royal Awe, 111 South Second Street, Colby.
Gold Caps, senior women’s honorary society, was founded at UW-Eau Claire in
1969. The object of the society is service, scholarship and leadership. Members
are selected on the basis of these three characteristics.
Activities during the past years included planning homecoming coronation and
sponsoring the Chancellor’s roundtables, the “Last Lecture” series, and a
leadership conference.
