Netzer, Mr./Mrs. Robert (50th – May 1975)
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Netzer, who live at the Green Vista, celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary Sunday at the Holiday Inn, Marshfield.
About 50 family members and relatives attended the dinner and a reception
following.
Yellow roses comprised the centerpiece and wre worn by the couple, and the one
original attendant, Mrs. Ann Klinger, Elgin, Illinois.
Mrs. Netzer (Mary Klinger) was born in Alsace-Lorraine, France, on May 2, 1903.
She came to this country with her parents in 1907 and lived in Illinois.
Robert Netzer was also born in Alsace. Lorraine, France, on June 5, 1901. He
came to the U.S. in 1924.
The couple was married in Elgin, Illinois on May 2, 1935. His occupation was a
sausage maker and meat cutter. They lived various places, where he worked his
train, and came to Owen in 1963 and operated the locker plant there. They
retired and came to Abbotsford two years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Netzer have four sons, Robert, Coloma, Francis, Marshall, Tom,
Marshfield, and Lawrence, Withee. There are 26 grandchildren and 2
great-grandchildren.
The Netzer’s are members of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church here. They enjoy good
health, and Mrs. Netzer likes Gardening and does fancy-work. Mr. Netzer also
enjoys gardening.
Those attending the celebration came from Elgin, Illinois, Coloma, Marshall,
Hales Corner, Marshfield, and Withee.
