General Telephone Company of Wisconsin has completed its major construction and
service improvement program in the Colby exchange, Darrell L. DeHaan, District
Manager, Wausau, announced.
The project, involving the installation of approximately 744,000 feet of new
cable and undertaken at a total cost of some $925,000, permits all eight party
customers in the exchange , four party maximum service, and provided facilities
to meet the increasing demands of future area growth.
DeHaan noted that some 657 multi-party main station customer have been affected
by the improvement project.
