Ruggles, Joyce C. (31 December 1934 – 24 November 2022)
Joyce C. Ruggles 87, of the Town of Longwood passed away at the Marshfield
Medical Center-Eau Claire on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
Joyce was born on December 31, 1934, the daughter of Webster and Martha (Nevala)
Hodnett in the Town of Longwood. She attended Withee schools. Joyce was united
in marriage to James W. Ruggles on August 4, 1951. He preceded her in death on
July 14, 1995.
Joyce was a farm wife and a home maker most of her life. She enjoyed going out
to eat at Paula’s and the Mobil Mart and spending time with her friends and
family.
Joyce is survived by her children: David “Bucky” (Deborah) Ruggles of Chili and
Patricia (Curt Reetz) Ruggles of Fall Creek; three grandchildren: Jeremy
(Michele) Ruggles of Loyal, Larissa (Ryan) Dillenbeck of Greenwood and Kelsey
Ruggles of Marshfield; six great-grandchildren: Skyler, Jayden and Treyton
Ruggles and Teagen, Colter and Camden Dillenbeck; a brother: Floyd Hodnett of
Plymouth, MN and a brother-in-law: Jerry (Ethel) Ruggles, many nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James and a
sister-in-law, Evelyn Hodnett.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at
the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen. The Rev. Elizabeth Bier will
officiate. Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 a.m. until time of service
Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Riverside
Cemetery in Withee. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Owen is entrusted with
the arrangements.
