Local Businesses Doing Charity for Children (2022)

The following businesses throughout Clark County are hosting various events centered on donating to less fortunate families during the holiday season.

Simplicity Credit Union is hosting an Angel Tree event. Pick a tag, make a purchase and drop off the unwrapped gifts at 113 W. Division St., Neillsville. Donations are due by Nov. 30.

Simplicity is also running a Toys for Tots donation drive, run through the Melody Gardens at the same location. Donations of unwrapped new toys are due by Dec. 7.

Associated Bank is doing a Hat, Mitten and Glove Drive and is accepting new and gently used clothing donations until Dec. 7 at 509 Grand Ave., Neillsville. Donations will be brought to the Optimist Club’s Christmas party on Dec. 10. For more info, contact Rachel Opelt, 715-743-3381

The Highground is also participating in the Toys for Tots program, as well. The collection site is the Highground Veterans Memorial Park, W7031 W Ridge Rd., Neillsville, specifically the museum. Donation of unwrapped toys, games, books and even clothing will be accepted through Dec 7.

Also, the gift shop will have paper trains for monetary donations.

Russell’s of Neillsville is participating in the Christmas Angel Project, not affiliated with Angel Tree. People can come to the store at 1008 E. Division St., Neillsville, and pick up an envelope on the tree in front, purchase the gifts inside from a list of the child’s needs and wants and bring the gifts back to the store and put under the tree for distribution.

Gross Motors is doing a Pack the Truck Food Drive at the Gross Motors dealership, 404 E. Division St. and the Chrysler dealership, 120 W. 7th St., both in Neillsville. Both locations will have a truck staged in the show room to pack the bed with donation items. Gross Motors will match whatever the community donates monetarily. Gross Motors will start accepting donations of non-perishable food items or monetary donations to the donator’s food pantry of choice Monday, Nov. 28.
