Dehn, William “Jim” (8 March 1953 – 30 November 2022)
William “Jim” Dehn began his heavenly walk to his eternal home on November 30,
2022. He fought a long battle of illnesses for a few years. Jim was a fighter,
always moving forward even when things got tough.
Jim grew up in Marshfield. He was raised by William “Bill” and Esther Dehn who
preceded him in death. Jim graduated from Columbus High School in 1971 and
attended Junior College in Oshkosh.
Jim ventured to California for a number of years and returned to this area in
the 1990’s. He settled in Withee where he made his home. Jim loved gardening,
reading, hunting, history and enjoyed going on long nature hikes through the
woods.
Jim wintered in Texas the past three years and returned in the spring. He had a
heart for helping others. Jim was proud of his garden produce and shared it with
others. He was a member of the Withee Lions Club for a time.
Jim is survived by his son, Nathaniel Dehn of CA; his sister, Susan Vold of
Hudson; cousins: Mark (Cherrie) Frost of Withee and Renae O’Konski of Owen; his
Aunt Joan Frost of Withee and two nephews: Lucas Ellifson and Jesse Ellifson.
A Graveside Service will be held at a later date.
