Hadzima, Lawrence Francis “Larry” (26 July 1944 – 23 November 2022) With Flag
Lawrence “Larry” Francis Hadzima passed peacefully on November 23, 2022, in
Dallas, TX.
The son of Paul and Leona (Niedzwiecki) Hadzima was born on July 26, 1944, in
Chicago, IL. He served in the U S Marine Corp and the U S Army with pride in the
Vietnam war. Larry settled in Eau Claire, WI and worked at Bark River Culvert
Company.
On September 26, 1970, Larry married Mary Jean Lamovec in Willard. After their
marriage he worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Eau Claire County, a Juvenile
Officer/Investigator for Chippewa County and lastly Police Chief in Neillsville,
until disabilities forced him to resign. After raising his family in
Neillsville, he and Mary relocated to Midlothian, TX in 2016.
He was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church in Neillsville, WI, and St.
Joseph's Catholic Church in Waxahachie, TX.
He is survived by his wife Mary Jean, his son Chad (Jeannine) Hadzima of Green
Bay, 3 daughters Suellyn (Rob) Slater of Iola, Jennifer Hadzima of Green Bay,
and Jill (Larry) Farbin of Midlothian, TX. He is further survived by
grandchildren Johnathan and Danica Slater, Rebecca, Theresa and Julia Hadzima,
Jack and Alex Van Nuland and Ian and Easton Farbin. Two brothers Jerry (Karen)
Hadzima of Hudson, Tom (Paula) Hadzima of Milwaukee and sisters-in-law Germaine
(Rob) Levac of Hot Springs Village, AR and Mary Lou Lamovec of Willard, as well
as numerous nieces and nephews.
Larry was predeceased by his parents Paul and Leona Hadzima, his in-laws Frank
and Helen Lamovec, a sister Loretta Bertrand, sister-in-law Judy
Bauer-Mayenschein, brothers-in-law Richard Bauer, Lee Mayenschein, and Jerry
Lamovec, and a nephew Shannon Lamovec.
A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date in Willard.
