Nosbisch, Michael (10 Oct 1889 – 8 Jun 1975)
Michael Nosbisch, 85, Colonial Nursing Home, Colby, died Sunday, June 8, 1975.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday (today) at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s
Catholic Church, Colby, with Rev. Francis P. Rushman officiating. Interment will
be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Nosbisch was born October 10, 1889 in North Washington, Iowa. He married
Christina Brost in North Washington on April 23, 1918. The couple farmed in Iowa
until moving to Edgar in 1920, and farmed there until 1938, when they moved to
the Town of Colby, farming there until 1957, when they retired and moved to
Colby. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1968.
Mr. Nosbisch was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and for the past one
and one-half years had been a resident of the Colonial Nursing Home.
Survivors include two sons, Vincent, Milwaukee, and Lavern, Colby; three
daughters, Mrs. Victor (Lavona) Reigel, Milladore, Florentine Nosbisch,
Neillsville, and Mrs. Arnold (Alverna) Gottschalk, Colby; one brother, George,
living in Iowa; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
His parents, Michael and Margaret (Spoden) Nosbisch, five brothers, seven
sisters, and his wife and one daughter preceded him in death.
Arrangements were made by the Lulloff Funeral Home.
