Untiedt, Frieda (10 Nov 1889 – 17 Jun 1975)

Funeral services for Frieda Untiedt, 85, Abbotsford, were held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ, Dorchester, with Rev. Milton Petzold officiating. Interment was in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Mrs. Untiedt died June 17, 1975 at a nursing home in Abbotsford. She was born Frieda Stahl on November 10, 1889 in Holstein, Germany, and came to the United States at the age of 16. On March 18, 1908 she was married to Emil Untiedt in Davenport, Iowa. They farmed in Eldridge, Ioa until 1920. From 1920 to 1960 they farmed in the Town of Mayville, and then moved to Abbotsford. Mr. Untiedt died September 29, 1966.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Dorchester.

Survivors include one son, Leonard, San Carlos, California; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Koerner, Milwaukee, Mrs. Art (Marion) Vergen, Madison; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son.

Pallbearers were Norbert Untiedt, DuWayne Untiedt, Courtney Untiedt, Dennis Feind, Donald Koerner and Daniel Koerner. The organist was Mrs. Jerome Rankl and the soloist was Mrs. John Kolz.
